Wow, simply wow. I'd usually refrain from posting anything about our Providers in public but we seem to have a pretty nasty situation going on here.

According to our UK provider, they sent an email out last week that made mention of a server move that was due to happen TODAY. We did not receive any such communication and we now find ourselves in this mess...

What does this mean?

The physical dedicated server your Ventrilo runs on has been unplugged and is in the process of being moved from one data center location in London, UK to another. NO INFORMATION will be changed. NO INFORMATION will be lost.

According to someone else going through this same thing, servers are to be connected and powered back online at 8am.

If I'm not mistaken that gives us another 6 hours of downtime to deal with tonight.

I'll continue trying to get a response from the DC directly and we'll then see if I can get things back online sooner than 8am.

Thank you very much for your understanding and patience during the past couple of hours and throughout the night tonight. We FULLY understand that situations like these cannot happen. We'll work with the DC to see why we weren't properly notified and we'll also make arrangements with them to ensure this NEVER happens again.
